The Affordable Care Act Open Enrollment period is typically November 1 through December 15. The 2019 Open Enrollment period for 2020 coverage is OVER, but you may qualify for a Special Enrollment Period if you or family member still need 2020 coverage (see below). Certain life events that involve a change in family status (for example, marriage or birth of a child) or loss of other job-based health coverage could entitle you to a special enrollment period (outside of the regular open enrollment period) in the Health Insurance Marketplace.
