About Insurance Counseling Services

Missouri Connections for Health partnered with the Missouri Alliance of Area Agencies on Aging (Ma4) by way of an agreement with Aging Best (formerly CMAAA) and a national network of organizations to help provide education about insurance options offered through the Affordable Care Act (ACA). Missouri Connections for Health has been providing in-person ACA enrollment assistance since 2013 and providing services throughout Central Missouri. Tasked with helping inform Missourians about their options under ACA regulations, the team of certified counselors help remove the barriers between people and their access to health insurance and health care. Our overreaching goal is to reduce the number of Missourians without health insurance.

Event Description:

Many young adults think they don’t need or can’t get health insurance, but this is not true. In fact, young adults often have more options than other groups!  In this free class, we’ll cover the health insurance options available to young adults, how to enroll, the importance of having coverage, and where to go for help. This course is open to individuals 17 and older.  Parents, guardians, caregivers, and community leaders who work with young adults are also encouraged to attend. This free class is conducted by Missouri Connections for Health and Insurance Counseling Services, a local not-for-profit organization. We do not sell or promote any insurance company or its products.
